What are the Different Immigration Streams Offered Under the Saskatchewan Experience Category (SINP)?

Existing Work Permit:
This stream is for foreign skilled workers in occupations classified as the National Occupation Classification (NOC) code level 0, A or B (management, professionals and tradesmen). You must be working for the past 6 months with the same employer who provides the job offer.
You must meet the following criteria to qualify for this stream:
- Have a valid temporary work permit
- Have work experience for at least 6 months in the province
- Have a valid job offer for a full-time occupation classified as NOC code 0, A or B or be in a designated trade
- Have a Job Approval Letter from the SINP
- Have appropriate licensing and certification for the occupation if required
- Demonstrate language proficiency with a level 4 on the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) for English or French
Health Professionals:
This stream is for foreign nationals in health professions such as physicians or nurses. There are different requirements for different health professionals.
As a physician, you will be required to meet the following requirements:
- Have a valid temporary work permit
- Have work experience of at least 6 months in the province
- Have a valid job offer for a full-time permanent position from a provincial health authority or educational institution where you are currently working and have verified documentation to specify their arrangement to practice medicine in the province
- Have a SINP Job Approval Letter
- Have a letter of support issued by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CoPSS) that provides your license type, expiry date and their support for your permanent residency
- Have a letter from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada for a particular specialty if required
As a nurse, you will be required to meet the following requirements:
- Have a valid temporary work permit
- Have work experience in practicing your occupation in the province for at least 6 months
- Have a job offer for a full-time permanent position issued by Saskatchewan Regional Health Authority, the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency, or another publicly-funded health employer
- Have a SINP Job Approval Letter
For other health professions, the following requirements must be met:
- Have at least 1 year of post-secondary training completed related to your health profession
- Have a valid temporary work permit
- Have a job offer for a full-time permanent position classified as NOC code 0, A, B or C in health occupation
- Score a minimum of a level 4 on the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) for English or French in the last 2 years before applying
- Have a SINP Job Approval Letter
- Have the required license to practice your profession if the occupation is regulated
Hospitality Sector Project:
This stream is for foreign workers who have at least 6 months of work experience and a valid job offer for an in-demand occupation from a designated hospitality employer in the province. You must have a valid temporary work permit to qualify.
You must comply with the work and performance standards of the province. You must also demonstrate language proficiency in English or French with a level 4 on the CLB.
Long Haul Truck Driver Project:
This stream is for foreign workers with at least 6 months of work experience and a valid job offer from an employer in the province. The job offer and work experience must be as a long-haul truck driver.
You must have a valid temporary work permit with a positive Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA).
If you are not currently employed in the province, you can still apply for this stream if you have previously worked in the province for at least 6 months. You will require the Class 1A driver’s license to start working.
Your job offer must be supported by a Job Approval Letter and an employment offer. You must demonstrate language proficiency with a level 4 on the CLB for English or French.
Student:
This stream is for international students who have recently graduated from a recognized post-secondary institution and have a valid job offer from a designated employer in the province.
You will also require at least 6 months of work experience in the province on a Post-Graduate Work Permit. The occupation must be related to your study program.
If you are graduated from a Canadian institution outside Saskatchewan, then you must meet the following requirements:
- Have at least 6 months of work experience
- Have a valid Post-Graduate Work Permit
- Have a valid job offer for an occupation classified as NOC code 0, A or B related to your study program or a designated trade occupation
- Have a Job Approval Letter from the SINP
- Demonstrate language skills with a level 4 on the CLB for English or French
- Be graduated from a recognized post-secondary institution with a certificate, diploma or degree
