Newfoundland and Labrador recently announced a new initiative called the Job Matching Pathway to help employers looking to fill full-time vacancies match with newcomer job seekers in the province. This pathway has been announced in the light of increasing demand for immigrants, temporary workers, and international students in the province.
How Will the New Job Matching Pathway Work?
Newfoundland and Labrador are planning to invite around 5,100 new permanent residents every year by 2026. The Job Matching Pathway will allow employers in the province to submit information about full-time vacancies and other details about their workforce on an ongoing basis at https://www.gov.nl.ca/ipgs/pathways-job-matching/
Employers can also mail their inquiries to pathways@gov.nl.ca

How Will Jobseekers Benefit from the Job Matching Pathway?
Temporary foreign workers and international graduates seeking employment in Newfoundland and Labrador can complete a detailed online registration form between September 29 and October 13, 2021. The Department of Immigration, Population Growth and Skills will then match them to a suitable employer designated by the province. The province will issue intake periods for future applications regularly to keep those looking to immigrate to Newfoundland and Labrador informed.
